2.0 Buttons by Web-Buttons.com v3.0.0

Javascript Menu. DHTML Menu.

  • Setup menu parameters manually or using De Luxe Tuner. Then add some rows of a code within html page code and your menu is ready!
  • Use special Java Script methods for: Dynamic changing of items (link, text, icons, arrows and even individual style!). Addition/removing of items or submenus. Disabling and enabling menu items. Getting the info on every submenu, menu, and items. Changing appearance of items. Other coding tricks.
  • Cross-frame mode lets you to construct full-featured dhtml menus on the pages with frames. But for all that frame set it's not necessary to insert any additional code into all the pages - just specify several extra menu parameters.
  • Ability to handle the menu from the keyboard via keystrokes.

Q: I recently downloaded Deluxe Menu to try before I buy. While it was easy to create a menu, when I followed the directions for pasting in the two lines of code where I wanted the menu to appear, it didn't work. Rather, it always positioned the menu at the very top of the page.

Is this intentionally the case because this is a trial version?
I very much like the program; however, I have to know it's going to work correctly before I buy.

A: Info about installation of the menu on your html page you can findhere:

http://deluxe-menu.com/installation-info.html

Please, check that you have
  var absolutePos=0;

You can also send us a copy of your html page (including .js files) and we will check it.

Q: Can I add the value of the parameter to the link where I want my application to go when I active a submenu in the menu script?

A: Actually you can add php code inside menu links.

If you define your parameter in .js file you should write yourlinks in the following way, for example:

<?
....
$key = 123456;
....
?>
["Home","www.domain.com/home.php?key=<? echo $key ?>", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", ],

If you define your key parameter in the php file you should move your
menuItems into your php page directly:

<?
....
$key = 123456;
....
?>

<script type="text/javascript">
  var tmenuItems = [
['Deluxe Menu','http://deluxe-menu.com','icon.gif',,,,,],
['Deluxe Tree','http://deluxe-tree.com','icon.gif',,'New!',,,],
['Deluxe Tabs','http://deluxe-tabs.com','icon.gif',,'New!',,,],
["Home","www.domain.com/home.php?key=<? echo $key ?>", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", ],
];

dm_init();
</script>

Q: We have a problem with the submenus going cross-frame.
Whenever there is a webpage from another website in the content/target-frame the frameset twists and all the pages are shown in the topframe. A lot of the information on our web is in office word-files and when they are opened in the content/target-frame the same cross-frame-problem happens. Is it only possible for the sub-menus to go cross-frame when one of our own webpages is shown in the target-frame?

A: See more info about cross-frame mode here:
http://deluxe-menu.com/cross-frame-mode-sample.html

Notice, the menu will work correctly in the cross-frame mode if you load pages into the sub frame from the same domain.
If you load pages from another domain submenus won't be shown in the subframe - they will be shown in the frame with the top-menu.
It's caused by a security policy of browsers - a script can't modify a content of pages from another domain.

Q: Only problem left is that we see an empty image in the left corner of the java pulldown menu.

I can't find how to remove this image. Do you know where this comes from?

A: You should delete the following string from your menuItems

["","", , , , , "0", ],

Try that.
