Q: I know. I have two menus on the page and I am not using beforeItemImage orafterItemImage for the top menu in javascript (the one you referenced below), but I need it for the second menu. The parameters for that menu are in mainnav_data.js.
Even when I only call dmWorkPath and dmenu.js once, it does not work.
A: See, it is not correctly to use image-based items:
["","", "mainnav_data.files/corpinfo.gif", "mainnav_data.files/corpinfo2.gif", "", "_self", "0", "", "", "", "", ],
and specify beforeItemImage/afterItemImage parameters. They won't work in that case.
You can create such buttons in the following ways:
1) Use image-based menu (images with text).
Create normal and mouse-over state images (with text) for each item:
["","", "mainnav_data.files/corpinfo.gif", "mainnav_data.files/corpinfo2.gif", "", "_self", "", "", "", "", "", ],
["","", "mainnav_data.files/new.gif", "mainnav_data.files/new2.gif", "", "_self", "", "", "", "", "", ],

2) Use combined background for the menu in javascript items (images without text).

var afterItemImage = [,]; //right-side image for normal and mouse over state

But you should create a small images in any Graph Editor, for example:

You cannot use these two methods together!Q: If I select one subitem in the slide out menus the other - opened subitem is closed.
Is there a way to get this facility for Items?
A: You should set the following parameter:
var tcloseExpandedXP=1;Q: The browser I am using is Internet Explorer 7.0 at Windows Vista (with "Security" set at "Medium"). I get the message "To help protect your security, Internet Explorer has restricted this webpage from running scripts or ActiveX controls that could access your computer" and then I have to click this message/bar in order to "Allow blocked content". After I do that the javascript menu script appears as it should, but of course I don't want visitors to go through that. FYI, I do not have the same problem with the dynamic menus on your website or in other websites, which appear normally right from the start.
A: You should adjust your browser settings.
Tools/Internet Options/Advanced Options/
and set
"Allow active content from files to run on My Computer".
There is no way to enable these preferences automatically, in othercase there are no reasons to create security preferences.
Q: I am interested in your dhtml menu product, I did not see any examples using a target attribute for the url, i.e.
<a href=http://yoursite.com/ target-"_blank">
Also if this is supported if you could send me an example of how to configure this...
A: You should use the following parameter
var itemTarget = "_self";
Please, see also individual items targets, for example:

Change "_blank" to "" or to "_self".
